Moss Landing

Moss Landing is an area north of Marina along Route 1, past the 156 branch off. There is a cute dock by the Sea Harvest Fish Market & Restaurant, just beyond the large Power Plant. There you can bring family to see Sea Lions hanging out and resting. Right now, there are also lots of sea otters hanging out beyond the dock but they are a little hard to see. Today there were also lots of fun birds to watch hanging out as well. It is a nice little trip for the family that is free and very close. On our way we passed by a number of produce stands which I hope to visit in the coming weeks to see the quality and value of the goods being sold there. They might just give the Commissary a run for its money. Plus, the sea lions are so cute. Here's another photo and a map of where to go.

  1. The big produce stand (Farm Fresh Produce) next to the Whole Enchilada marketplace usually has some of the freshest, cheapest produce you'll find. We go there at least every few weeks. The produce is almost always fresh, and locally grown (sometimes they have things from Mexico and Chile if they aren't growing around here).
