Yard Sale THIS SATURDAY

The Post-wide yard sale is this Saturday from 10am to 2pm. The yard sale will be located at the back of Fort Ord off Joe Lloyd Way. See map below for details. I am also going to plug a ribbon and bow booth that will be at the sale run by a fellow Marine Spouse. She makes adorable bows and ribbon hair pieces that are great holiday gifts for the little princesses in your life!

Registration for the post wide yard sale/ craft fair is going on Thursday evening from 6pm-8pm and Friday from 10am-1pm and 6pm-8pm. There are plenty of spaces available as well as clothing racks for rent. Spots range from $15-$25 depending on whether you live on Post and whether or not you have a prime space.

Early bird passes are also available for $5 cash only. This will get you in to the Yard Sale 45 minutes before everyone else. Due to frequent poor weather in February this will be the last Post-Wide yard sale until May!

May Yard Sale Update

Okay everyone, details are in for the Yard Sale to be held on May 1, 2010 from 1000-1300 at Fort Ord.

• Early Bird passes may be purchased for 0915 admission, for $5/ea during registration or $10/ea at the gate.
• Registration to sell is open to all Active Duty, Retirees and DoD Employees. (ID required)
• Registration begins Monday, April 19, 2010 and will be held in the Mayoral Office (ACS building between Tri-Care and CYSS) at the following times:
  Mondays & Wednesdays - 1000 - 1300
  Tuesdays & Thursdays - 1800 - 2000
  Friday, April 30, 2010 - 1000 - 1300 & 1800 - 2000
• Cost for sellers varies depending on duty status, location, etc.

Spring Yard Sale

I just saw on Facebook that the next OMC Yard Sale is going to be held on May 1, 2010. Signups start two weeks before the date of the sale, and more details will come as the date gets closer. This is a great way to sell stuff if you are moving out or buy stuff if you are moving in. In the meantime, if you want to check out previous posts on the last yard sale, you can get the gist of how these post-wide events work. Stay tuned!

YARD SALE POSTPONED

The Quarterly Yard Sale has been postponed February 27th. I know this is last minute, but it looks like due to the weather, better to wait then have people getting soaked.

So you should have gotten a few papers taped to your door yesterday, but just in case you didn't, here are the details for this weekend's yard sale.

Registration will continue to be held in the Mayor's office, located in Army Community Services (ACS) on Gigling Road between CYS and Tri-Care.

To register for a selling space or to get Early Bird Passes, visit during these times:
January 25-February 4th: Monday & Wednesday, 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM
Tuesday & Thursday- 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Friday, February 5th: 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM AND 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM
If you register this week, any non-military living in the Parks at Monterey Bay can register with proof of residency.

To register for a space, the cost is as follows (cash or check only):
Active Duty living on POM, OMC or La Mesa: $15 for a regular space or $20 for a prime space
Off Post Active Duty, DoD Employees, Retirees, Non-military residents: $20 for a regular space or $25 for a prime space
Tables are available to rent for $10/each

Early Bird Passes (cash only): $5 before the sale, $10 at the gate

Quarterly Yard Sale

According to our leases and property regulations, individual families are not allowed to have yard sales on their own. However, the Mayoral Program here in the Parks holds a quarterly yard sale where families can sign up for a space and sell items. The next yard sale is Saturday, February 6th (coming around the corner)! The quarter yard sale is coming up quick. To sell you will need to reserve a parking spot which is $15 for Active Duty on base military personnel, $20 for DoD civilians and Active Duty off base.+$5 for the prime locations. Early bird passes are $5 in the office and $10 at the gate. We will open the gate to Early Birds at 9:30am and 10:00am to the general
public. Let all your friends know that great deals will be happening at this quarter yard sale.
